Provinces and territories in Canada are able to nominate people who want to move to Canada and who are interested in settling in a specific province through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Except for Quebec, each of Canada's provinces and two territories has its own distinct Provincial Nominee Program. Participating provinces and territories enter into agreements with IRCC that provide them the authority to choose immigrants who satisfy the criteria they present. Each province that participates in the PNP program has its own selection criteria for identifying immigrants who possess the talents that the province lacks but that are in demand outside. Information technology, healthcare, agriculture, trade, business, investors, and people with ties to Canada are just a few of the jobs and selection criteria that differ from province to province.

What are the advantages of choosing a Provincial Nominee Program (PNP)?

You will be given 600 points after receiving your Provincial Nominee Certificate, which will be utilized to determine your Express Entry score. People without a PNP certificate will typically score between 300 and 500. The 400 to 500 range is the most current cutoff score for Express Entry. PNP certification holders will automatically receive 600 points to go along with their basic Express Entry scores of 300–500. The PNP certificate's final Express Entry score will be above 900, which is a lot higher than the 400–500 point threshold that is now used for selection.
