The Federal Skilled Worker (FSWP) is administered through the Express Entry (EE) administration system.  Canada wants to accept more than 110,000 immigrants by the year 2024. Most Express Entry applicants who were accepted to Canada did so via the FSWP. According to research conducted by the Canadian government, FSWP immigrants enjoy rewarding employment in Canada. Furthermore, applying for immigration through the FSWP is advantageous since it allows you to gain permanent residency in Canada within six months, whereas processing through other skilled worker programs in Canada takes longer.

Suitable Candidate & application conditions

1) At least one continuous year of full-time paid work experience or equivalent professional work experience in part-time continuous work listed in the National Occupational Classification (O, A or B) within the past 10 years.

2) Education requirements: High school or above (Requires Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) from an IRCC approved institution)

3) Language requirements: Canadian language benchmark CLB 7

4) Have settlement funds to support you and your family within six months of arrival in Canada (proof of funds).

5) Must score at least 67 in IRCC's 6 selection factors below to be eligible to apply. Including, education, language scores, work experience, age, job offer letter, and adaptability (several factors that help applicants adjust to life in Canada).
