学校概况

The University of St Andrews, founded in 1413, is a public university located in Scotland, England. The school was formally established after Pope Benedict XIII issued a papal edict to the Augustinian priests. It is the oldest university in Scotland and the oldest elite institution in the English-speaking world after Oxford University and Cambridge University. The University of St Andrews ranks among the top five in Europe in the 2019 Times Higher Education Quality Rankings, with a small number of students, allowing the school to maintain a golden teacher-student ratio. Although St. Ann mainly focuses on undergraduate education, its 600-year-old founding three disciplines: Philosophy (6th in the world), Classics (11th in the world) and Theology (17th in the world) retain a detached status internationally.
