IELTS and IELTS for Canada Visas and Immigration are both paper-based and computer-based. Choose the test mode that suits you so that you can get the desired result as soon as possible.

Candidates who choose the paper-and-pencil mode will take the Listening, Reading and Writing sections in the paper-and-pencil mode, and the Speaking test in the "person-to-person conversation" format.

Paper-and-pencil mode is available for IELTS Academic and General.

Candidates who choose the computer-based test mode will take the Listening, Reading and Writing parts of the test through the computer-based test mode, and the Speaking test through the "person-to-person conversation" format.

Computer-based test mode is available for IELTS Academic and General for UK and Canada Visas and Immigration. There is no impact on the IELTS General  used for UK visas and immigration and IELTS Life Skills tests. The computer-based test mode is parallel to the paper-based test mode, and the launch of the computer-based test will not affect the arrangement of the existing paper-based test.
